Have you bored with hangout with friends at cafe or shopping mall? Now, there is a festival that happened annually in the heart of Sunway that provides a wide variety of food and entertainment and most suitable for hanging out with friends. Well, this description is perfectly owned by Artbox Malaysia, in which has their own touch of opening the pop-up market in Malaysia.

If you are interested what is Artbox particularly, it is a well-known pop-up market that originated from the neighborhood country called Thailand that established since 2015. While Artbox is extremely popular, they started to expand to Singapore and Malaysia. However, Artbox is not the pop-up market that occupied permanenty as they just open from Friday to Sunday in two weeks annually. In this year, Artbox Malaysia is open for public from 6 to 8 and 13 to 15 September and this is their second consecutive year of held the market.

Set aside for the history, their main aim is to enable some small-medium enterprise to sell out their own creation to the visitor who come there. As of going inside, there are some shops where offer diverse products such as shirt, skincare and accessories that mainly imported from Thailand.

Apart of selling goods, there are some foods and drinks stall that has wide variaton, such as the renowned Thai Tea, Ice Cream, Sausage and Burger. In other words, you don’t need to worry of what should you eat at there because of the choice of food is complete at the scene.

If you wish to find the place to eat, there are several spot provided by the Artbox for the visitor to eat, and also they had live music in front of the seating area that reflects the modern vibe in the market. The only downside for this is the table and chair is quite limited, so you have to come earlier or instead you have to eat while standing or walking.

The pop-up art and promotion from various brand is the highlight of this event that seldom occured in the other events that attracts the visitor to come there to take a snap and getting special benefit from well-known brands.

Last but not least, it is a hell of experience to come to this event for enjoying the vibe with friends at the end of week and to forget any hassle in the weekday such as assessment. Moreover, this event has complete package of music, food and goods gather in one place and hope this event will happen in years later.

Welcome again to the site! Want to know the feeling of numb in your mouth along with the spice? Or craving for the hotpot with sort of spicy feelings? In this post, we would like to suggest one of the spiciest hotpot restaurant in town, it is known as Hotpot Kitchen.

Before we start to tell about the restaurant, do you know what is Hotpot and when it came from? If not, let us explain briefly. Hotpot is basically a Chinese food that prepared with a simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table and consist of some East Asian ingredients. Hotpot has been famous in another name called steamboat and this term is suddenly popular lately due to opening of the likes of Haidilao and some more popular Chinese franchise chain.

The special thing for Hotpot Kitchen among the others is they are providing the selection of food that seasoned by so-called original Mala sauce from Sichuan. Before the food is being well-served, you have to take your ingredients by yourself. The main ingredients that offered by Hotpot Kitchen is wide variety of vegetables such as cabbage, lettuce and mushroom and meat that largely comes from the slice and meatballs from chicken, beef and pork. In addition, there are more ingredients that include in the other menu such as fish with different price.

The highlight for this restaurant is the Sichuan’s Mala Sauce that added after the ingredients has been selected. In this case, you can select between four level of the spiciness that stated in the menu. The four level of spiciness choice is ascending from the unique platter (no spice), spicy fragrant, spicy dynamic and spicy xtreme (the spiciest in the selection). If you have low tolerance of the spice, it is better for you to choose the spicy fragrant as the maximum level to avoid the stomachache in hours after.

After the selection of spice has been chosen, there has optional menu that complement the ingredients such as rice or noodle and you can also order the drinks.

Different from ordinary Hotpot restaurant, the food has been served after they dip onto the hotpot, so that you can instantly eat the food with the spiciness kick to your mouth and throat. In overall, the food is great for the taste and the spice has blend perfectly to the ingredients and finally you can taste the numbness in your mouth after eating the Mala sauce.

Recently, Hotpot Kitchen has opened in five outlets across Malaysia and four of them are located inside Klang Valley, so make sure that you can experience their food while visiting to the mall that has Hotpot Kitchen. Moreover, it is definitely worth to try and eat when lunch or dinner.

Curious about the level of spiciness that u can tolerate? In this entry, we would like to challenge your tolerance by going to the restaurant that mainly served spicy food. Moreover, Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus is consider an appropriate restaurant to feel the sensation of the spicy that you have seldom found in other places.

Long story short, Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus is the restaurant franchise that originated from Yogyakarta, a city in Indonesia and recently they have opened in over than 100 outlet in their home country. They have expanded to Malaysia since two years ago and today they have more than 10 outlets across Klang Valley.

Why is it called ayam gepuk?
Ayam Gepuk is basically come from the usual ayam penyet that served with Tahu and Tempe, however the main differences between them is the spice and the process of making itself. In other words, there are three level of spiciness that you can choose (level 5, 10 and 15) that suitable for you stomach. Then the chilli padi will be grinded and smashed along with the peanut and finally they seasoned the chicken that will come as the main dish. It has also slight different from ayam geprek (Kotak) that comes from the types of chicken and chilli.

For ordering the food, you have to queve in front of the restaurant and straightly pay to the cashier and they have four sets in their menu that mainly differentiated from the side dish. If you don’t see any for the rice in the menu, DON’T WORRY, because they are provide free rice at the inside.

If you cannot bear with the spiciness of food, make sure that you order the drink from the cashier so it brings down your heat inside the body.

Overall, it is a great experience of eating spicy food with friend in some occasion and dare to compete with friends, but still have to worry about your stomach, because it might explode by hours you eat. Last but not least, know your limit of spiciness if you have something to do or else it will obstruct the day.

Wanna find another pan mee restaurant? Fortunately, we found another restaurant that offer similar food with the previous one (Chilli Pan Mee). This particular restaurant has served various foods and drinks at affordable price for the student. This restaurant is located in the shop-house inside SS15, beside the Taiwanese chicken chop store called Shihlin.

Actually, Jojo Little Kitchen is considered as one of the Pan Mee franchise that located in several location at Klang Valley such as SS15, SS2, Puchong, Desa Sri Hartamas and Damansara. However, there are no exact number of how many stores that Jojo Little Kitchen located except that they have more than 10 outlets in overall.

Set aside for the location, the main food they offer to consumer is Pan Mee, hence there are more than ten types of Pan Mee, such as Lat Jiu Pan Mee, Lor Pan Mee and Yi Fu Pan Mee. Moreover, the mee itself has two choice for consumer based on their preference: thick or thin one.

For the recommendation, Lat Jiu Pan Mee is the best food that the restaurant offered by us because of the smooth texture of the noddle and the ingredients (minced pork, anchovies and vegetables). In addition, you could add more spice to the noodle as they put at the every table if wish to level up the spiciness to your limit.

Pork Ball Pan Mee is great for the soup-based pan mee if you decide not to eat the dry noodle and better if put another chilli to the food.

Apart from the Pan Mee, the side dish offered by Jojo Little Kitchen is the proper complement with the main dish to turn into satisfaction. Fried Pork is one of the best side dish on their menu along with numbers of the side dish.

In addition, they also sell the chilli that put on pan mee on their cashier with RM11 and you can collect the stamp in order to get free bowl.

So, this restaurant is the best stopover for student before they start to hunt boba tea that located nearby there or wish to have good noodle in the day and night.

The restaurant that has been mentioned above is Chilly Pan Mee, a chinese noodle restaurant that served mainly on Pan Mee with little touch of side dish. This Pan Mee restaurant is located on SS15, near the parking area and it is quite strategic for the restaurant.

If you don’t know what Pan Mee is, that food is originally come from the Mainland China that served the yee mee or mee hoon in dry or soup base, along with some other ingredient such as minced pork and anchovies. The food is extremely popular in the Hakka speaking area like Singapore and Malaysia.

The positive side that Chilly Pan Mee is come from their signature menu, in which the Pan Mee with Chilli is the best bet for you to order and experience the spiciness at your mouth with the combination of noodle, sunny side up and minced pork. Before you eat the food, there has a guide for eating the food by mixing the noodle and the ingredients that separated at first.

However, they are not only served the signature Pan Mee, there has also wide variety of food that stated in the menu. Another Pan Mee that recommend by us is the Pan Mee with pork chop because of the crisp of the pork.

There are some dish that complement with the Pan Mee and could identify as ‘side order’ for the food. The ‘side order’ in the restaurant has mainly from the Chinese side dish, such as sweet and sour pork, wantan soup and deep fried fu zhu. The side order has been offered in two different size that categorized as small as one person and the large one with group of four people. For our recommendation, sweet and sour pork is the best companion to the Pan Mee because the precise proportion of the sweet and sour taste.

Hi guys? have u started thinking about another boba store? have u bored with the existing store such as Xing Fu Tang and Tiger Sugar? Well, there are some alternative brands for drinking boba as the most popular drink for students in 2019. But this time, the boba tea store franchise is coming from an unusual country (South Korea), called Heuk Hwa Dang. Heuk Hwa Dang is one of the Korean Premium Tea that produce black sugar and Japanese flower as their own identity. As of the blog uploaded, they had operated in over than 60 stores in Korea and achieved as 2019 Korea Brilliant People & Brand Awards.

This franchise has just come in Malaysia at August 2019, particularly located on the infamous “boba street” SS15. However, it is further from the center of selling boba tea, instead they are selling near the Starbucks Coffee and McD.

The main offer from Heuk Hwa Dang to the consumer is Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, which is common among others, Rose Bubble Milk Tea that contain fragrant smell from rose and Fruit Flower tea that consists of fragrant jasmine flowers, fresh and fresh passion fruit, lime and apple. For the brown sugar boba tea itself, they have slightly smaller bubble compared to other brands and is quite firm. Consequently, it find harder to chew the bubble as fast as possible rather than usual boba tea.

Besides for the milk tea, they are also have signature food that they offer such as Brown Sugar Bubble Soft Serve and Coffee Bubble Soft Serve. Both of them are basically the ice cream sundae that put bubble as their topping. For others, they are also selling nougat crackers in single or box quantity, with the black tea as the original flavor.

Heuk Hwa Dang could be the best alternative brand for the boba tea lovers to try on with different sensation of drinking boba with other food such as nougat and ice cream. But, it is not the best choice from us to buy the drink considering there are better boba brand surrounding them.

Finding a specific seafood-based shop in Sunway area is not the easiest thing to search for if you are seafood lovers. However, it is no longer being worried because there is one new restaurant just opened in the area and bringing the new atmosphere to the surrounding. The name of this new restaurant is called ‘Big Fish Small Fish’. Long story short, Big Fish Small Fish is the kind of fast-food restaurant that come from the neighborhood country, Singapore and has claimed that this is the first restaurant that served the food in their home country. Currently, they have four outlets in Singapore and now they are expanded to Malaysia.

Fish and Chips has been the main signature dish for Big Fish Small Fish that established since day one. In addition, there are wide choice of fish that the consumer could choose such as Dory and Salmon. The distinctive feature between the usual Fish and Chips that served in several restaurant and that of the Big Fish Small Fish that the chips are not identify as ‘french fries’, but in snack chips that found in the supermarket. However, the one-of-the-kind taste from the chips is the strong positive feature of their main signature and also the crisp from both food has giving a great taste.

In addition to the Fish & Chips, the sauce is helping the savory taste for the food as it added the level of satisfaction of eating them. Recently, there are four sauce in the restaurant, such as tartar sauce, salted egg sauce, cheese sauce and mayo sauce. If you call for the set one, it is benefit you by refillable soft drinks to fill up you stomach.

For someone who don’t know the terms, “FOMO” is the abbreviation of “Fear of Missing Out” that trend recently in the society as they felt the necessary to keep up with trend. But in this restaurant, it means that the package has fish, chicken wings, chips, soup of the day and coleslaw.

Last from the menu side, there are some type of food that not much popular, but it is worth to try in this restaurant. Furthermore, there are a unique feature that come from the technology, in which consumer can do self order in the front of the restaurant and take it away. Confused of which cafe should you go ? This might be the best solution for hanging out with friends for short while. Well, this is another entry for the western food series that offered diverse types of food that are suitable for everyone. Moreover, the location is quite great, particularly in front of Sunway College and beside of the well-known convenient store franchise called FamilyMart.

Moreover, this stand-alone cafe is the newest opened compared to both previous cafe that existed in Bandar Sunway and replace the Brotz N.19 that relocated to Sunway Geo Avenue. Differ from other cafe, this cafe has the design that illuminate teenagers and young adults by putting the signage “Sweet Time To Gather” and also have more colorful interior design rather than just black or white, but still the modern touch has seen in the whole of the cafe concept.

In the food aspect, they are mostly promoted for the western food, such as chicken chop, fish and chips and pasta. However, the uniqueness of the selection of the menu in this cafe is that they serv local foods that most cafe do not provide such as Nasi Lemak and TomYum. For us, Grilled Chicken Chop is made perfectly for the dish in aspect of the platting and also with the taste, where there are no over in the taste and the same goes to fries as the side dish.

Meanwhile, the lunch set that is offered from Sweet Gather is the positive point for students who crave for western food. In detail, you can order the pasta just below the expected price for that particular food and also added with the drink. However, if you order Aglio Olio, it might slightly disappointing with the spiciness despite the food is worth enough from a student perspective.

In addition to the local and western food, they are offering some promotions that attract the customer such as breakfast (with special price) and high tea (which is eccentric for the typical cafe in Sunway).

If you are curious for the other stuff, they also offer quite number of drinks, desserts and also cakes which is shown beside of the cashier.

In overall, Sweet Gather is being one of the most affordable cafe that student found for the aspect of pricing that puts with the great quality of taste among others. That’s why it is always full when lunch and dinner where student has go there for the food and the ambience of the cafe. This cafe has been known for the minimalist design and with the wide selection of food and beverage.

The reason why Brotz N.19 is a recommendation of the western food is because of the ambience in the cafe itself. In other words, the modern touch inside the cafe has been helping for the overall atmosphere. For the traffic wise, it is mostly crowded on lunch time in weekdays that mainly consist of workers and students in their surroundings.

In the food sector, they are classified such as where breakfast set has been provided by the cafe. Moreover, there are wide variety of choice that could capture all of the potential consumer, such as vegetarian and meat lovers. The desserts has also the dearest for some of their consumer. Chicken Chop with Barbeque Sauce is the recommendation from us to try with because they are serving the chicken with much amount of vegetables.

In overall, Brotz N.19 is a decent cafe to hangout for students and also has the ambience for the studying and doing the upcoming assessment that accompany by the coffee. With amazing food and beverage, it is assured that you have the experience that never happened in other cafe. In addition, it is totally worth if there are occasional discount held offered by Brotz.

Located in front of Sunway University (beside Mun Xian Photoshat), After Black is one of some cafe in the area that mainly served authentic western food that capture their surroundings. With the fine design based on minimalism, the cafe is offer the chill environment that embrace the modern lifestyle.

For the interior aspect, the minimalism has represent the overall theme of cafe that consist of black color in their furniture, along with warm light. In detail, the cafe could occupied approximately 50 people at the peak hours, sometimes sharing the table to stranger is not an unusual situation due to many visitor come during the time.

Lets move on to the food. The main food that they served are main course such as chicken whole leg and fish & chips. If looking for the food in aspect of affordability in price, pasta has the best choice for the student that has worth the best (as low as RM 7).

If the hunger struck in time, the set of pasta/rice and main course are the huge pleasure to take as it is only added by RM3 and it is worth the taste and money. For the drink sector, they are categorized them onto two categories, in which coffee and non-coffee present in their menu. Furthermore, there are provide free water that has a little fusion with the lemon flavor.
